I have been going through my tatting and found one of the first pair of earrings I'd made in metal, I realized they needed to be adopted by a tatter with a good home. They are tatted in silver wire with a copper core and have a swarovski crystal teardrop tatted into the design.
If you have a good home to offer them and can name the designer of the pattern, leave your name and the designer's name as a comment on my blog before 12 midnight est, April 4th, 2010.
Good luck!!! (Hint: The original design did not use the teardrop)

Ok I need to try again. Designer looks like 'elegance' by Elizabeth Lace(not sure full name). I promise they would get a good home.
Beautiful work Alan. I believe this is Elizabeth Zipay's pattern. I wonder if it is hard to tat with the silver wire? Or is it pretty plyable? I'd love to be entered in your giveaway!! Thank you!!
I don't know the name of the original designer and feel it would be cheating to simply skate off the brilliance of the tatters who posted before me.
But I wanted to congratulate you on your wonderful giveaway! Love reading your blog.
Your work with silver is very beautiful, Alan.
I have seen a design very like this done by Elizabeth Zipay.
I have on two different occations taught a class on tatting with wire with Mark Myers aka Tatman. It was alot of fun teaching these classes together. Wire tatting takes some getting use to...but it can be done. I really really hope I can win the earrings. I am keeping my metal shuttle crossed which is what I use to tat with wire. I hope I win.
Here I try again her esty shop is called Elizabth'slace not her name. Name is Elizabeth Zipay. So can this count as my REAL entry?
Very lovely! pattern by Elizabeth Zipay.. I would wear these proudly!!
Alan, I've been admiring your tatting with silver and am glad to have a chance to win your earrings in Elizabeth's Long Elegant Earrings pattern. (I did originally think of Patty Duff's Minitats #19 that I tatted with thread received in the thread exchange, but when I checked I was wrong. Glad I researched before commenting.) Thank you for sharing. Karen
I don't enjoy wire tatting myself, never have, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't like the earrings! Especially since it is something I will never make myself. Oh...do we have to name the designer of the pattern? Elizabeth Zipay uses this design, yes, but it's a very common design too.
I think the designer is Elizabeth Zipay, as there are a pair of earings on her Etsy site without the drop on the end. I think yours are more beautiful and I would love to own them. Your jewelry is amazing.
Thank you so much for having a giveaway! I love these earrings so much:-) Anyone who wins would wear them with pride I am sure, I know I would.
The designer I do believe is Elizabeth's Lace. I have always liked her design and I love how you have given her designs a new feeling altogether by tatting in metal.
I have tried to tat with wire before and I know it can be quite challenging. I have been admiring your work for a while, and am so happy to have a chance to win these beauties. Keep creating wonderful works of art for us all to enjoy!
Good Luck everybody!

It looks like Beth Zippay's pattern that she uses regularly on brooches and earrings. Never seen it in silver - looks great. Nice versatile little pattern. Do you think they would get homesick in Australia??? An excuse to come take them back home again and visit while you are there????????
I think it is Elizabeth Zipay's design...hope I got it right and I would love to win your beautiful earrings
Joy
I have admired your work for sometime. Would love to win the beautiful earrings. Someday I would love to try tatting with wire. Thanks for your inspiration!
Beautiful work!! I love the earrings
Hi Alan, I'm Ellen! Greetings from Singapore! You're great with the wires. I have tried tatting with wire only 2 or 3 times previously, but I don't pull them so tight like thread, perhaps the wire I use were thicker, but it was sure painful on the fingers.
It's Elizabeth Zipay's Elegant Earrings, an Elizabeth's Lace original pattern. Would really love to see your work up close!
How clever you are to tat Elizabeth Zipay's pattern in wire. I have not seen tatted wire jewelery before but yours is beautiful and would be going to a good home if I win.
